Hearty Hamburger Pie
- 9-inch pie crust
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 tsp. ground cumin seed
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. Italian dried herbs
- 1 medium onion, sliced and separated
- 1 1/4 c. mushrooms, sliced (fresh)
- 1 1/2 c. potatoes, sliced and peeled
- 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
- Combine beef with egg, salt, crumbs, cumin, garlic powder, mustard and herbs. Layer pie crust with potatoes, onion and mushrooms, leaving some mushrooms to encircle the pie.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour at 350u0b0.
- Cook a little longer if potatoes are not done.
- Top with cheese and parsley when done. Return to oven to melt cheese.
