Breakfast Custard Recipe
- 4 lrg Large eggs
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter or possibly margarine
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp baking pwdr
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- 1/4 tsp dry mustard
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- Beat Large eggs well.
- Add in next 5 ingredients.
- Blend in lowfat milk.
- Divide cheese up among 4 individual custard dishes.
- Pour mix proportionately into custard c.. Place c. into baking pan and fill with boiling water one-inch deep.
- Bake, uncovered, at 425 degrees for 15 to 20 min.
- Serve immediately.
- This recipe yields 4 servings.
