Alu Chole With Rice Recipe

  2. Heat the oil and fry the cinnamon, bay leaves and cumin seeds for 1 minute.

  4. Add in onion and garlic, fry till golden.

  6. Add in minced tomatoes, curry paste and salt.
  7. Fry for a further 2-3 min
  8. 4.
  9. Stir in chick peas, potatoes and water.
  10. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 15 min or possibly till potatoes are cooked.
  11. Stir in the coriander and lemon juice.
  12. Garnish and serve with rice.
  13. Follow with a fruit crumble.
