Chocolate Caramel Melt A Ways Recipe
- 1 pkg. (14 ounce.) Kraft Caramels
- 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. butter, melted
- 1/3 c. lowfat milk
- 1 c. nuts, minced
- 1pkg. (6 ounce.) chocolate chips
- In a double boiler, heat the caramels with the lowfat milk.
- Combine the cake mix, butter, lowfat milk and nuts, mixing well.
- Spread 1/2 of the cake batter in a 9x13 inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 6 min.
- Remove and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
- Spread caramel mix OVER chips.
- Top with remaining cake batter.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min.
- Let cold 30 min before cutting into bars.
- Makes 4 dozen bars.
