Peach Trifle Recipe
- 1 pkg. instant Jello vanilla pudding mix
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 2 lbs. fresh or possibly canned peaches
- 3 tbsp. sugar (if using fresh peaches)
- 1 lb. cake loaf
- 1/3 c. sherry
- 2 tbsp. 10X sugar
- 1/2 c. toasted slivered almonds
- Prepare pudding and set aside.
- Prepare peaches (and sugar, if using fresh).
- Slice into small bowl.
- In large bowl place layer of cake.
- Sprinkle generously with sherry.
- Make layer of peaches.
- Put part of pudding over peaches.
- Repeat.
- Whip cream with powdered sugar.
- Mound over dessert.
- Sprinkle with almonds.
- May be refrigerated for several hrs.
- Serves 8.
