Vanilla Berry Play Dough

  1. You will need 2 bowls; one large microwave safe and one medium plastic.
  2. Also, you will need a wooden or silicon spatula.
  3. In the large bowl mix 2 cups flour, salt, and tartar; set aside.
  4. In the medium bowl pour in the boiled water and steep tea bags for 5 min's.
  5. Next, remove tea bags and add vanilla and oil, stir together gently.
  6. Combine the tea mix into the flour mixture in thirds, stirring after each addition.
  7. *The dough should be almost the consistency of cake batter*
  8. Place bowl in microwave and cook on High for six, 45 second intervals stirring after each interval or until dough is partially cooked.
  9. **CAREFUL IT'S HOT**.
  10. Add in last 2 cups of flour 1/2 cup at a time (as you may not need all of the flour) Stir until dough is stiff but soft.
  11. Carefully knead dough(*careful it's still hot) with hands until flour is incorporated.
  12. Let dough cool on counter top for about 3 min's.
  13. To Test Readiness: Take palm full of dough and knead it in you hands for 30 seconds.
  14. Then, flatten it on the counter top -- if it leaves dough behind, add a bit more flour, if it comes off the counter clean it's ready!
  15. Seal in an air tight container.
