Chili And Then Some(Abundance And Goodness)
- 2 cans Goya red kidney beans, drained
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. Italian hot sausage, skinned
- 2 Tbsp. Goya olive oil
- 2 c. onion, chopped
- 1 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. oregano
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tsp. ground cumin
- 3 c. canned tomatoes in puree
- 1 c. beef broth
- salt and pepper to taste
- Heat oil in heavy skillet.
- Add meat and brown.
- Add remaining ingredients, except beans; blend well.
- Bring to boil and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add beans; simmer 15 minutes longer.
- Yields 8 servings.
