Salmon, cod and spinach puree recipe
- 1 knob of butter
- 2 leeks, chopped
- 200 g (7.1oz) sweet potato, peeled and diced
- 350 g (12.3oz) mixed salmon and cod, cubed
- 200 ml (7fl oz) water
- 75 g (2.6oz) baby spinach
- 100 ml (3.5fl oz) full fat milk
- 50 g (1.8oz) mature cheddar cheese, grated
- Melt the butter in a saucepan.
- Add the leeks and sweet potato and fry for two to three minutes.
- Add the salmon and cod and the water.
- Bring up to the boil, cover and simmer gently for about 15 minutes until the vegetables are soft and the fish is cooked.
- Add the spinach and stir to wilt.
- Add the milk and cheese, then blend using a hand blender and puree or roughly chop for older babies.
