Refried Beans

  1. In the work bowl of a food processor, place the borracho beans.
  2. Puree until smooth, adding a little of the bean cooking liquid if necessary to keep the beans from sticking to the blade.
  3. In a medium skillet, heat the bacon grease or oil over medium heat until hot.
  4. Add the puree and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve, topped with queso fresco, if desired.
