Lotus Root Salad: Goes Surprisingly Well With Rice!
- 1 Lotus root
- 5 Coarsely ground Wiener sausages
- 1 1/2 Cucumber
- 1 1/2 tbsp Sake
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 5 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- Peel the lotus root, cut in half lenghwise and slice thinly.
- Put the slices into a bowl of water.
- Slice the cucumber thinly and sprinkle with a little salt.
- Slice the sausages thinly.
- Heat the sesame oil in a frying pan.
- Add the sausages and stir fry.
- Drain the lotus root and add to the frying pan, and when it's evenly coated with oil, add the sake.
- Season with salt and pepper and drizzle in the soy sauce.
- Take out of the pan into a bowl to cool.
- When it has cooled down a bit, add the cucumber and mayonnaise, and mix well.
- Done!
- The lotus root is so crispy and good.
