Bowl of Red -- Chili Con Carne

  1. Cook the ground beef in a large pan over medium-high heat until brown, about 10 minutes.
  2. Break up the chunks.
  3. Pour off the fat.
  4. Add the onion and the garlic and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the tomato sauce, beer, seasonings and both of the hot sauces.
  6. Bring to a boil; turn down heat to a simmer and cover for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  7. Add more beer if needed.
