Pumpkin Apple Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, soften pumpkin with back of a wooden spoon.
  5. Mix in oil and blend well.
  6. Mix in sugar.
  7. Add eggs, a little at a time, stirring until combined.
  8. Add flour mixture to wet ingredients slowly, stirring with a wooden spoon to blend well.
  9. Fold in apples and pecans.
  10. Divide batter between two buttered and floured loaf pans.
  11. Bake in preheated 350 F oven for 50 - 60 minutes, or until a tester comes out clean.
  12. Cool in pans for 30 minutes.
  13. Remove, and let cool completely on wire racks.
