Ma Po's Bean Curd Recipe

  2. Cut the bean curd into 1/2 inch cubes and deep fry in warm peanut oil about 1/2 min.

  4. Remove all oil except 3 Tbsp.. Reheat oil and fry the grnd pork well.
  5. Then add in garlic, warm bean paste, soy sauce, salt, soup stock, and bean curd.
  6. Boil for 3 min.
  7. 3.
  8. Thicken with cornstarch paste, then sprinkle with onion and sesame oil.
  9. Place in bowl and sprinkle with brown peppercorn pwdr and serve.
  10. NOTE: Warm red pepper oil may be added to this last, if desired it hotter.
