Turkey Cabbage Cups

  1. In a large cast Iron skillet add oil, onion, and garlic.
  2. Let bloom for 2 minutes.
  3. Add in turkey and break up; cook until meat is done.
  4. Drain grease if there is any.
  5. Meanwhile add all ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Set aside.
  8. Now add water, ginger, carrots, celery, red pepper, and water chestnuts.
  9. Add in about 1/2 the sauce mixture.
  10. Let simmer about 10 minutes until veggies are cooked through.
  11. Taste and add garlic powder, or pepper if needed.
  12. To assemble turkey cups, take a leaf of cabbage and fill it with about 1/2 cup meat mixture.
  13. Top it with bean sprouts, green onions, and cilantro.
  14. Drizzle a little more sauce if desired, and enjoy!
