Sunshines easy butterscotch pie
- 1 9"Graham cracker pie crust
- 2 cup .milk. divided
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/8 teaspoo salt
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup butterscotch morsels
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup frozen whipped topping thawed
- 1 _1.4 oz candy bar Heath crushed
- In a large bowl ,combine 1/2 milk ,2/3 cup sugar ,and the next 3 ingredients, stir well together , set to side .
- Heat the remaining 1 1/2 cup of milk, in a heavy saucepan.
- Over medium high heat .
- @180 or till tiny bubbles form around the edge (do not boil).
- Remove milk from heat
- Gradually add hot milk to sugar mixture ,stirring constantly with a wisk,....pour back from into saucepan, add the butterscotch morsel to milk mixture ,stir, cook for 5 minutes ,stirring constantly until thick and bubbly ,reduce heat on low for ,2 minutes ,constantly stirring .
- Now pour into pie shell and let cool 15 minutes place in refrigerator for 2 hours till pie is cold
- Top with whipped topping and crushed heath bar , slice and serve , and enjoy
- Keep in refrigerator after
