Plum Sweet And Sour Sauce For Egg Rolls Recipe
- 1 (20 ounce.) can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 tbsp. cool water
- 1 c. plum sauce or possibly plum jam or possibly orange marmalade
- Heat pineapple (with syrup), sugar, 1 c. water, the vinegar, and soy sauce to boiling.
- Mix cornstarch and 2 Tbsp.
- water; stir into pineapple mix.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Cold to room temperature; stir in plum sauce.
- Cover and chill.
- Makes 6 c..
