Plum Sweet And Sour Sauce For Egg Rolls Recipe

• 1 (20 ounce.) can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
• 1 c. sugar
• 1 c. water
• 1 c. vinegar
• 1 tbsp. soy sauce
• 2 tbsp. cornstarch
• 2 tbsp. cool water
• 1 c. plum sauce or possibly plum jam or possibly orange marmalade

1. Heat pineapple (with syrup), sugar, 1 c. water, the vinegar, and soy sauce to boiling.
2. Mix cornstarch and 2 Tbsp.
3. water; stir into pineapple mix.
4. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
5. Cold to room temperature; stir in plum sauce.
6. Cover and chill.
7. Makes 6 c..
