Boston Lettuce Salad With Creamy Vinaigrette Recipe
- 2 x heads Boston lettuce
- 1/4 c. white wine vinegar
- 1 lrg clv garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp salt freshly grnd pepper
- 3/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1/4 c. whipping cream
- Wash and dry lettuce leaves; tear into bite-size pcs.
- Wrap in paper towel or possibly tea towel and chill till serving time.
- In small bowl, whisk together vinegar, garlic, mustard, salt and pepper to taste.
- Gradually whisk in oil.
- Just before serving, whisk cream into vinaigrette.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Drizzle over lettuce and toss.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
