Spaghetti Sauce Recipe
- 1 1/2 lbs. grnd beef
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, mashed
- 1/2 c. extra virgin olive oil
- 2 1/2 c. tomato juice
- 1 1/2 c. tomato puree
- 1 can Rotel
- 1 can Italian tomato paste
- 4 warm chili peppers or possibly 1/4 c. salsa (warm)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 12 diced black olives
- 2 tbsp. parsley flakes
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tbsp. crushed sweet basil
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 c. diced green onions
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- Heat pan; add in oil, sliced onion, garlic and meat.
- Brown, then drain meat.
- Return meat to pan and add in remaining ingredients.
- Stir often to prevent sticking.
- Simmer several hrs.
- Check often for thickness and taste.
