Fruit French Toast
- 12 cup blueberries
- 12 cup raspberries
- 12 cup strawberry
- 14 cup sugar
- 14 cup white wine
- 14 cup raspberry liqueur
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 ounces heavy cream
- 4 slices challah or 4 slices brioche bread
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter or 4 tablespoons unsalted margarine
- toasted slivered almonds
- FRUIT SAUCE:.
- Cook the fruit, sugar, wine and liqueur for 15 minutes, then strain well.
- Add a little corn syrup for a thicker sauce.
- FRENCH TOAST:.
- Mix together the eggs, banilla, almond extract, cinnamon, sugar, cream and almonds.
- Dip the bread in the mixture to coat thoroughly.
- Heat the butter in a pan over high heat, and cook the bread until golden brown on both sides.
- Serve with fruit sauce and enjoy!
