Umeshu Jello - A Cocktail You Can Eat
- 100 ml Umeshu
- 300 ml Water
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 5 grams Gelatin
- 50 ml Water
- 4 Plums from the umeshu (optional)
- Put the ingredients in a small dish and sprinkle in the gelatin.
- Lightly stir to prevent lumps.
- In a sauce pan, heat the ingredients until the sugar dissolves.
- (The temperature should be 50-60C, it doesn't have to be boiling).
- Remove from heat, add the gelatin from Step 1, dissolve the gelatin, then add the umeshu.
- Drop one plum in each cup, then pour in equal quantities of the liquid from Step 3 among the cups.
- Once the liquid cools, chill in the refrigerator until it sets.
