Umeshu Jello - A Cocktail You Can Eat

  1. Put the ingredients in a small dish and sprinkle in the gelatin.
  2. Lightly stir to prevent lumps.
  3. In a sauce pan, heat the ingredients until the sugar dissolves.
  4. (The temperature should be 50-60C, it doesn't have to be boiling).
  5. Remove from heat, add the gelatin from Step 1, dissolve the gelatin, then add the umeshu.
  6. Drop one plum in each cup, then pour in equal quantities of the liquid from Step 3 among the cups.
  7. Once the liquid cools, chill in the refrigerator until it sets.
