Bircher Muesli
- 12 cup sunflower seeds
- 13 cup pumpkin seeds
- 13 cup linseeds
- 1 13 cups sultanas (or any combination of dried fruit)
- 23 cup buckwheat groats
- 1 13 cups barley, flakes
- 2 cups oats
- 12 cup slivered almonds
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Put 1/2 cup of the muesli in a bowl with 1/2 cup of cold water, milk or juice, stir, cover and leave overnight in the fridge to soak.
- For a quick breakfast, prepare as above, cook on high for 1-3 minutes in the microwave.
- Serving suggestions: stir in fresh grated raw apple or other fresh fruit just before serving.
- To enhance the healthful properties serve with low fat yoghurt and a spoonful of (manuka) honey.
