Chocolate Dipped Stuffed Dates Recipe
- 1 pound pitted dates
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract or possibly Myer's Rum
- 1/3 c. Grand Marnier
- 1/2 c. toasted whole almonds
- 1 1/2 lb semi-sweet chocolate or possibly Bakers Dipping Chocolate
- Soak dates in sufficient warm water and vanilla extract or possibly rum to cover for approximately 30 min.
- Drain and pat dry.
- Soak dates in Grand Marnier (1 hour).
- Drain if necessary.
- Stuff each date with an almond.
- Heat chocolate according to package directions.
- Dip date in chocolate to coat completely.
- Arrange on wax paper.
- Chill till chocolate is set and you are ready to serve.
