Banana Caramel Bars Recipe
- 2 1/2 c. Flour
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 c. Margarine, cubed
- 1 lrg Egg, beaten
- 2 med Bananas, extra ripe
- 1/2 c. Caramel topping
- For crust, combine flour, sugar and baking pwdr in a bowl.
- Cut in margarine with pastry blender till mix resembles coarse meal.
- Slowly stir in egg, mixing with a fork till crumbly.
- Pat half the mix in 13 x 9 inch baking pan to create crust.
- For filling, mash banana (1 c.).
- Blend bananas with caramel topping.
- Pour over crust, spreading proportionately.
- Sprinkle remaining crust mix over filling.
- Pat gently.
- Bake in 375 degree oven for 35 min, or possibly till golden.
- Cold on rack.
- Cut into bars when cooled.
