Glorified Gravy

  1. Brown the ground chuck.
  2. Add the onion, mushroom, garlic salt, cumin and thyme.
  3. Continue to cook until onions just start to look clear.
  4. Drain SOME of the grease (for a healthier version, drain it all.
  5. For the tastier version, leave a little).
  6. Whisk together the 2 cups of cold water with the 2 gravy packets until smooth.
  7. Add the water and gravy to the meat mixture.
  8. Bring to a boil.
  9. Reduce the heat and allow to simmer until the gravy thickens to desired consistency, stirring frequently.
  10. Season with the season salt to taste.
  11. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.
  12. Top with cheese, if desired.
  13. TIP: Add mixed veggies for a more complete meal!
