Butterscotch Delights
- 2 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1/4 c. milk
- 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 5 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. soda
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 5 c. regular oats, uncooked
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips
- Cream the shortening in a large bowl.
- Gradually add sugars, beating well.
- Add eggs, milk and vanilla.
- Beat well.
- Sift together flour, soda, baking powder and salt.
- Add to creamed mixture, stirring well.
- Stir in oats and butterscotch chips.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes until light brown.
- Makes 10 to 12 dozen.
