Farmhouse Recipe: Simmered Sauerkraut

  1. Rinse the sauerkraut quickly.
  2. Slice the onion thinly.
  3. Heat the butter in a pan over a medium heat, add the onion and saute until it's wilted.
  4. Add the sausages and saute quickly.
  5. Add the sauerkraut and the A ingredients next, and simmer gently over a low heat for 20 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper at the end and it's done.
