Cowgirl Turkey Burgers
- 1/4 cups Thinly Sliced Scallions
- 1/2 cups Finely Chopped Celery
- 3 Granny Smith Apples, Peeled And Grated
- 2 Tablespoons Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
- 2 teaspoons Tabasco Or Other Hot Pepper Sauce
- 1 Lemon, Juiced And Grated Zest
- 1/2 bunches Parsley
- 1/4 cups Major Grey's Chutney, Pureed
- 4 pounds Turkey Breast
- Mix the scallions, celery and apples in a large bowl.
- Add remaining ingredients except turkey and thoroughly mix.
- Add turkey and gently mix until all ingredients are incorporated.
- Shape into 12 burgers.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours or freeze for 30 minutes.
- Lightly grease then preheat your grill to medium-high (about 450 F).
- Season the turkey burgers with additional salt and pepper.
- Place patties on the grill.
- Grill each side for about 8 minutes, or until meat is thoroughly cooked (to an internal temperature of 160 F).
- Remove patties from the grill onto a platter.
- Let them sit for 5 minutes.
