Juicy Asian 'Banh Mi' Burger
- 1 lb medium ground beef
- 14 cup chopped green onion
- 2 tablespoons black bean sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 12 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 12 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 egg
- 14 cup fresh breadcrumbs or 1 slice bread or 12 hamburger bun
- 1 cup matchstick carrot
- 1 cup matchstick cucumber
- 12 teaspoon sugar
- 4 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
- 12 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
- 13 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 2 teaspoons sriracha sauce
- 12 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 sprigs cilantro (optional)
- Gently combine the ingredients in a mixing bowl.
- form into 4 equal sized hamburger patties.
- Chill for a few hours to combine the flavours if possible.
- In a separate bowl combine the carrots, cucumbers, rice wine, sugar and toasted sesame seeds.
- Mix well, cover and chill for a few hours if possible.
- In a small serving bowl combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, Sriracha, paprika and garlic powder.
- Cover and refrigerate until you are ready to serve.
