Super Easy Imitation Chocolate Pie Bites with Pastry Sheets
- 4 sheets Frozen puff pastry
- 36 pieces Bite-sized chocolates
- 1 (or chocolate bars)
- 1 Egg
- 1 Granulated sugar
- 1 dash Water
- Defrost the frozen puff pastry.
- Brush water and place 18 pieces of chocolate evenly on each puff pastry.
- Preheat the oven for 200C (400F).
- Stretch out the puff pastry without chocolate on top.
- Make sure the middle part is loose, and press down the edges.
- After pressing down on the gaps in between the chocolates by hands, you can do the same with the long cooking chopsticks.
- It's ok if the sheets tear slightly.
- Brush a beaten egg on top, and sprinkle granulated sugar.
- Cut the gaps in between the chocolates with a knife, and bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 200C (400F) until nicely browned.
- I used a chocolate bar in the picture on the right and made 12 pieces of pie bites.
- Squares from a chocolate bar make them look nicer, but bite-sized chocolates make them look puffier.
