Cheddar Dill Bread

  1. In a large bowl combine flour and sugar.
  2. Cut in butter until crumbly; stir in the cheese and dill.
  3. In a small bowl, beat egg and milk; pour into dry ingredients and stir just until moistened.
  4. Pour into a greased 8x4x2 loaf pan.
  5. Bake at 350F (180C) for 35 to 40 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted center comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing.
  7. Serve warm or cool completely.
