Angel Coconut Torte
- 1 12 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 13 cup melted butter
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 5 egg whites (room temperature)
- 12 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 12 cup coconut
- 14 cup chopped pecans
- Mix crust ingredients and press into a 9x13 pan.
- Beat 5 egg whites, add cream of tartar at high speed until they hold a peak.
- Add sugar gradually.
- Beat until stiff peaks are formed.
- Pile into unbaked cracker crust.
- Bake at 250 for 1 hour.
- Put topping on 1 hour before serving.
- TOPPING:.
- Mix ingredients together and spread over top.
- After topping is on sprinkle with coconut and nuts.
