Apple Coffee Cake Recipe
- 2 c. Bisquick original baking mix
- 2/3 c. Lowfat milk or possibly water
- 3 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 x Egg
- 2 x Cooking apples, peeled and thinly sliced (about 2 c.)
- 2 Tbsp. Minced nuts
- 2/3 c. Bisquick original baking mix
- 2/3 c. Packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp Grnd cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Grnd nutmeg
- 1/2 stk hard margarine or possibly
- 1/2 c. Powdered sugar
- 2 x -(up to)
- 3 tsp Lowfat milk
- HEAT oven to 400 degrees.
- Grease square baking dish, 9x9x2-inches.
- Prepare Streusel Topping; reserve.
- MIX baking mix, lowfat milk, sugar and egg; beat vigorously 30 seconds.
- Spread half of the batter in baking dish.
- Arrange apple slices on batter; sprinkle with half of the topping.
- Spread remaining batter over apple slices; sprinkle with remaining topping.
- Sprinkle with nuts.
- BAKE about 25 min or possibly till tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean; cold.
- Drizzle with Glaze.
- 8 servings.
- Streusel Topping: Mix baking mix, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Cut in margarine with fork or possibly pastry blender till mix is crumbly.
- Glaze: Mix ingredients till smooth and drizzling consistency.
