Bread And Butter Pickles Recipe

  1. Wash and scrub cucumbers.
  2. Cut into 1/4 inch slices.
  3. Put into kettle.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and add in water.
  5. Cove and let stand 24 hrs.
  6. Drain 10 - 15 min.
  7. Put into kettle.
  8. Add in onions, peeled and sliced thinly, then vinegar, sugar and spices.
  9. Heat to boiling.
  10. Simmer 2 - 3 min.
  11. Pack into warm sterilized jars.
  12. Seal.
