Raspberry Lemonade

  1. In a small bowl, with a potato masher or spoon, mash 1 cup rinsed fresh raspberries (6 oz.)
  2. with 2/3 cup sugar.
  3. Let stand 10 minutes.
  4. Press through a fine strainer into a pitcher (at least 1 1/2 qt.
  5. ); discard seeds.
  6. Stir in 1 cup lemon juice and 2 cups water.
  7. Taste and add more sugar if desired.
  8. Pour into tall, ice-filled glasses.
  9. Makes about a quart.
