Beer Batter for Fish, Shrimp and Onion Rings
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 cup beer
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- Whisk flour, salt and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
- Separately, whisk beer, egg, and oil.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry mixture, stirring until there are no lumps.
- Dip foods into batter and fry in hot oil (350F) until it is golden and crispy.
- Drain foods on paper toweling or a brown bag.
- Serve hot.
