Guests Delight Recipe
- 1 box Zwieback
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 c. soft butter & minced pecans
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- Egg whites for meringue
- Make crust out of 1 box Zwieback rolled fine, add in 1/4 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp.
- cinnamon, 1/4 c. soft butter and minced pecans.
- Make Custard: Cook 2 c. lowfat milk, 2 egg yolks, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 tsp.
- vanilla and 2 Tbsp.
- cornstarch till thick.
- Pour into pan with crust.
- Make meringue by beating the egg whites and placing on top of the custard.
- Sprinkle with some of the crust on top.
- Bake at 300 degrees for about 20 min.
