Soda Bread Scones

  1. Preheat oven to 450F.
  2. Coat baking sheet with cooking spray.
  3. Whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt in bowl.
  4. Whisk together buttermilk, maple syrup, and currants in separate bowl.
  5. Stir buttermilk mixture into flour mixture until soft dough forms.
  6. Transfer to floured work surface, and shape into 8-inch round.
  7. Cut round into 8 wedges.
  8. Transfer to prepared baking sheet, and sprinkle each wedge with 1 tsp.
  9. sugar, if using.
  10. Bake 20 minutes, or until browned.
