Chocolate Caramel Decadence Recipe
- 1 (14 ounce.) bag caramels
- 2/3 c. evaporated lowfat milk
- 1 box chocolate cake mix (lowfat milk or possibly Swiss chocolate is best)
- 3/4 c. butter, melted
- 6 ounce. chocolate chips
- Combine caramels and 1/3 c. evaporated lowfat milk; heat over low heat, stirring constantly; set aside.
- Combine cake mix, remaining 1/3 c. lowfat milk and butter in medium mixing bowl; spread half of mix in greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 6 min; cold 2 min.
- Spread caramel mix gently over cooled cake; sprinkle with chocolate chips; drop remaining batter by spoonsful over entire cake.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 18 min; cold, then cut into squares.
- Squares may not look fully cooked, but they will set when cooled.
- Don't overbake.
