Bananas Foster Brooks Recipe
- 1/4 c. Butter
- 1/2 c. Brown sugar firmly packed
- 4 x Ripe bananas
- 2 Tbsp. Grated orange peel
- 1/2 c. White rum
- 1/4 c. Creme de banana (or possibly any liqueur) Vanilla ice cream
- Heat butter and sugar in a large skillet.
- Peel bananas, split lengthwise and add in to skillet in a single layer.
- Saute/fry, turning once, till tender.
- Add in orange peel, rum and creme de banana.
- Ignite!
- Stand back from the skillet to avoid flames.
- Remove from heat and spoon sauce over till flame burns out.
- Serve at once with vanilla ice cream.
- Servings: 4
