Cookie House
- 560 grams Cake flour
- 280 grams Butter
- 180 grams Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 dash Vanilla extract
- 1 dash Food colouring (red/green/yellow)
- 1 tsp plus Cocoa
- 300 grams For icing Powdered sugar
- 1/2 plus For icing Egg white
- 1 dash For icing Food colouring
- Design the house by drawing a roof, chimney and 4 walls in any design you like and make paper stencils.
- Bring butter to room temperature and soften.
- When it has softened, mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Add sifted flour and mix together.
- When it has come together as a dough, divide into separate parts and colour with the food colouring and cocoa.
- Wrap and let sit in the fridge.
- After letting it rest for 30 minutes, roll out to 0.5 mm, and then cut the parts out around paper stencils with a knife.
- Line the parts up on a baking tray and bake at 190C for 20 minutes.
- When baked, put the parts on a rack and let cool.
- When cooled, secure the parts with icing and it's done.
- Do this carefully one part at a time, making sure each part is hard and secured before moving on to the next.
- Decorate the outside of the house as you like.
