Cheesy Bacon Snack Bread
- 1 (1-pound) loaf frozen white bread dough, thawed according to package directions
- 2 tablespoons Land O Lakes Butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
- 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke, if desired
- 1 (8-ounce) package (2 cups) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 5 slices (1/3 cup) crisply cooked bacon, crumbled*
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Press dough into greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan or into 15x10x1-inch rectangle on greased baking sheet.
- Combine melted butter, onion salt and liquid smoke in bowl.
- Brush evenly over dough.
- Cover; let rise in warm place 45-60 minutes or until double in size.
- Heat oven to 375F.
- Prick dough carefully all over with fork.
- Sprinkle cheese and bacon evenly over dough.
- Bake 15-20 minutes or until edges of dough are golden brown and cheese begins to brown.
- Sprinkle with parsley.
- Cool 10 minutes.
- Cut into serving pieces; serve warm.
- *Substitute 1/3 cup real bacon bits.
