Gluten Free Hamburger Buns
- 2 teaspoons Instant Yeast
- 1/2 cups Warm Water, About 115 Degrees
- 2- 1/4 cups Blanched Almond Flour
- 1 cup Arrowroot Flour
- 2 teaspoons Unflavored Gelatin
- 1- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 2 teaspoons Xanthan Gum
- 1 teaspoon Guar Gum
- 2 whole Eggs
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil Plus About 2 Tablespoons For Brushing
- 1/2 teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Agave Nectar Or Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds
- 1.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- 2.
- Start by proofing the yeast.
- Place the yeast in a small bowl and add the water.
- The water needs to be about 115 degrees.
- The water should feel very very warm but not hot.
- Set aside.
- (If it doesnt puff up by the time you use it, you need to start over)
- 3.
- Mix all of the dry ingredients (flour through guar gum on the above list) in a large mixing bowl.
- 4.
- Stir in the eggs, olive oil, cider vinegar, agave (if using), and the proofed yeast.
- 5.
- Roll the dough into 5 equal sized balls and place on a greased cookie sheet (instead of 5, you can make 4 extra large ones).
- Slightly flatten the dough balls with the palm of your hand.
- 6.
- Brush some olive oil over the tops of the buns and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- 7.
- Cover and allow to rise for 25-30 minutes in a warm spot.
- *Hint- I placed a salt shaker in the middle of my cookie sheet before I covered it with a kitchen towel so the towel didnt stick to the buns.
- 8.
- Remove kitchen towel and bake 12-15 minutes or until nicely browned.
- 9.
- Allow to cool completely.
