Gluten Free Hamburger Buns

  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  4. Start by proofing the yeast.
  5. Place the yeast in a small bowl and add the water.
  6. The water needs to be about 115 degrees.
  7. The water should feel very very warm but not hot.
  8. Set aside.
  9. (If it doesnt puff up by the time you use it, you need to start over)
  10. 3.
  11. Mix all of the dry ingredients (flour through guar gum on the above list) in a large mixing bowl.
  12. 4.
  13. Stir in the eggs, olive oil, cider vinegar, agave (if using), and the proofed yeast.
  14. 5.
  15. Roll the dough into 5 equal sized balls and place on a greased cookie sheet (instead of 5, you can make 4 extra large ones).
  16. Slightly flatten the dough balls with the palm of your hand.
  17. 6.
  18. Brush some olive oil over the tops of the buns and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  19. 7.
  20. Cover and allow to rise for 25-30 minutes in a warm spot.
  21. *Hint- I placed a salt shaker in the middle of my cookie sheet before I covered it with a kitchen towel so the towel didnt stick to the buns.

  23. Remove kitchen towel and bake 12-15 minutes or until nicely browned.
  24. 9.
  25. Allow to cool completely.
