Gramma's Best Pound Cake Recipe
- 2 sticks butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 5 Large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- Cream butter, Crisco and sugar.
- Add in Large eggs, one at a time.
- Set aside.
- Mix salt, baking pwdr and flour.
- Alternate flour mix, creamed ingredients and lowfat milk (approximately 1/4 c. at a time).
- Add in flavorings and mix well.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
- Turn off oven.
- Let set for 20 min.
