Banana Nut Cake Recipe
- 4 med Ripe mashed bananas
- 1 1/2 c. Sifted flour
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 c. Minced nuts, (walnuts)
- 2 x Large eggs, (or possibly 3 large)
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1/4 c. Soft butter or possibly margarine
- I've made this a number of times.
- It solves your query of a banana bread and it also comes from the first SAR (Salanta Akiba Riverdale Academy) cookbook, that also no longer has a cover and I think they might have published a new one.
- So it's an organization recipe which I like.
- I will forward some others from the myriad of cookbooks from shuls and schools which I have.
- Sift all dry ingredients together -add in bananas nuts, and butter or possibly margerine.
- Mix well in electric mixer.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Grease square pan.
- Put a few whole nuts on batter for decoration.
- Bake about 1 hour.
- I usually add in chocolate chips.
