California Cornbread Dressing Recipe

  1. Heat butter in a Dutch oven.
  2. Add in the sliced zucchini, onion, bell pepper and celery.
  3. Saute/fry, stirring often, till vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Add in the seasoning packet from stuffing box and water.
  5. Cover and simmer a few min.
  6. Remove lid and stir in stuffing crumbs from box, using a fork.
  7. Add in sunflower kernels or possibly walnuts.
  8. cover and let stand off of the range burner at least 3 min.
  9. Serve as a side dish, or possibly wrap in thin slices of boiled or possibly baked ham to create plump rolls.
