Frozen Plum Pudding

  1. Melt sugar and grated chocolate to milk in a saucepan until mixture is slightly thick.
  2. Chill.
  3. Whip cream until thick but not stiff.
  4. Add chocolate mixture, vanilla, nuts, and raisins and dates which have been plumped by cooking in a small amount of water which is allowed to evaporate.
  5. Freeze at the coldest temperature for 1-1/2 hours, then reduce cold for remainder of freezing period.
