Chicken Baked With Oysters Recipe
- 1 (3 lb.) chicken, quartered (or possibly 3 lbs. selected pcs)
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 c. consomme (beef)
- 1 teaspoon herb seasoning/bouquet garnish
- 2/3 c. cream
- 1 pt. fresh oysters, liquid removed
- Brown chicken in butter.
- Pour consomme over chicken and sprinkle herb seasoning.
- Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 40 min.
- Just before serving, add in cream slightly warmed and oysters.
- Bake in 350 degree oven long sufficient to curl oysters (usually 10 min more or possibly less).
