Roast Beef and Cured Ham Temari Sushi
- 350 grams Plain cooked rice
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 Roast beef
- 1 Prosciutto
- 1 Toasted sesame seeds
- 1 Mayonnaise
- 1 Shiso leaves, wasabi
- Cook the rice a little firmer than usual, then mix in the vinegar, sugar, and salt with the rice paddle using cutting motions.
- Check the taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- Divide the sushi rice into 2 portions.
- Mix one portion with the toasted sesame seeds.
- This will be for the cured ham.
- Cut the roast beef slices in half and put 1 slice on top of some plastic wrap.
- Top with a bite-sized amount of sushi rice.
- Use the plastic wrap to squeeze it all into a round shape.
- For the cured ham, put some mayonnaise between the rice and the ham.
- Shape in the same way as you did the roast beef.
- Top the roast beef with wasabi and the cured ham with shredded shiso leaves.
- Use soy sauce or roast beef sauce to garnish the roast beef sushi.
- The cured ham sushi is good as-is.
