Double Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
  3. Combine sugar and butter in a large bowl.
  4. Beat with a mixer at medium speed until fluffy.
  5. Stir in egg and vanilla.
  6. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
  7. Stir into creamed mixture.
  8. Add oats and chocolate chips.
  9. Dough will be very stiff.
  10. Add up to 1/4 cup water if needed.
  11. Form tablespoon-size balls and place on prepared cookie sheet.
  12. Flatten slightly.
  13. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
