Grilled Soy and Honey Pork Chops

  1. Place everything besides the pork chops and cilantro in a bowl.
  2. Mix well until sugar is dissolved.
  3. This will be your marinade.
  4. Add your pork chops into a Ziploc bag and pour the marinade on top.
  5. Seal, and let it sit in the fridge for 1 hour.
  6. Remove pork chops from bag and add leftover marinade to a pot.
  7. Set the chops aside on a plate.
  8. Bring the marinade to a complete boil for about 4 minutes so all bacteria that was released from the raw pork chops is eliminated.
  9. Stir constantly to prevent from sticking.
  10. This will act as your basting sauce.
  11. Heat a skillet on medium high, until very hot and add your pork chops.
  12. Grill on the first side for 3 minutes and then flip over.
  13. Brush some of the sauce on using a basting brush and allow the other side to cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  14. Flip back over and apply the sauce to the other side as well.
  15. Cook until pork reaches an internal temperature of 145 F then remove from heat.
  16. Be sure to cut into your pork chop for desired done-ness
  17. Serve over rice and top with some cilantro leaves and enjoy!
