Grilled Soy and Honey Pork Chops
- 1 pound Pork Chops (bone In, 1inch Thick)
- 4 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- 1/2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 3 cloves Garlic, Smashed
- 1/2 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/2 whole Lemon, Juiced
- Cilantro For Garnish
- Place everything besides the pork chops and cilantro in a bowl.
- Mix well until sugar is dissolved.
- This will be your marinade.
- Add your pork chops into a Ziploc bag and pour the marinade on top.
- Seal, and let it sit in the fridge for 1 hour.
- Remove pork chops from bag and add leftover marinade to a pot.
- Set the chops aside on a plate.
- Bring the marinade to a complete boil for about 4 minutes so all bacteria that was released from the raw pork chops is eliminated.
- Stir constantly to prevent from sticking.
- This will act as your basting sauce.
- Heat a skillet on medium high, until very hot and add your pork chops.
- Grill on the first side for 3 minutes and then flip over.
- Brush some of the sauce on using a basting brush and allow the other side to cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- Flip back over and apply the sauce to the other side as well.
- Cook until pork reaches an internal temperature of 145 F then remove from heat.
- Be sure to cut into your pork chop for desired done-ness
- Serve over rice and top with some cilantro leaves and enjoy!
